How Alone She Felt Poem by Pam Morris

How Alone She Felt

Rating: 5.0

She bit her lip and told me,
how alone she felt.
she said her ideas
were what gave her
simple steps to
friendship.
It worked, because
she had so many friends.
She loved them all though.
I never understood
why she felt alone.
she said her drawings
kept her company.
I understood that.
She kept her promises.
It may have taken
awhile but she always
made time for her
friends.
it was the weekend before
she died, she made time for
me to come over.
we sat on the floor
and she
bit her lip and told me,
how alone she felt.

Ohh...man. How very beautifully sad this is. My heart dropped when I got to the end, I didn't expect that. You captured the loneliness so very well, Wow. I am just amazed at how this made me feel...truly touches the heart.
