How can we respect those to whom we cannot relate
Yet let not our objects of lack of our respect become our objects of hate
They are entitled to their views as much as we are to ours
Though they may see us as the weeds that grow amongst the flowers
The people born to rule of themselves they believe
But by their very thoughts their own selves they deceive
For none should be born to rule or that's how it ought to be
For to rule and to lead seem different to me
For a leader does inspire and a leader always lead
And a leader nothing more is all that most do need
From experience we learn from those who feel they are born to rule
When they come by the power to others they are cruel
We do not need one to rule we need one to lead instead
For the leaders lead by love and the rulers count their dead.
