HOW DID WE GET HERE! ! !
SEX for grade abi na grade for sex
What a shameless people we are turning into
Oh Africa my mother land
A people once known for their values and pride
Admired by the world
How have the mighty fallen

How did we get here! ! !
How did we allow the locusts and the cankerworm
To eat so deep into our system like this
Oh Africa my mother land
Values now been thrown to the wind
People no longer pride themselves in things of value
How did the mighty fall like this

How did we get here! ! !
It all started with that little compromise
Parents offering money for wards admission
Or paying for exam questions
Voters demanding for money before they cast their votes
Public servant demanding for money for a contract
Police demanding money for bail
Lecturers wanting 5 rounds to pass a female student
Oh see how have the mighty fallen

How did we get here! ! !

A society that reward incompetence
A society that is shutting down common sense
A society that blackmail others for difference in opinion
A society that reward thiefs and sing their praise
A society where money is preferred to wisdom
Now you know how the mighty has fallen
