How sorry I am
How terrible I feel
That i was never there for you
I will regret it
I do regret it
But don't completely understand

I've hurt you
Forgot you
Ripped apart your heart
So unconsciously
So easily
Just thrown you aside

And yet I keep coming back
Leaning on you for support
Asking you for guidance and help

But have i even stopped
And given thought to what you feel
I try to understand the love behind everything you say

How do you still say it so sincerely
How can you mean it so truthfully

Why do you forgive me
Why do you still love me after all i've done

I wish I could understand
And make you understand
I didn't mean to be the way I am
Didn't mean for things to happen
The way they did

I just never thought
About what you wanted
Never came out of my little box
