How Do You.?
How do you mend a broken heart?
when it doesn't belong to you.
How do you tell a child you love?
that life is sometimes cruel.
How do you dry the tears they cry?
when cuddles ain't enough.
How do you carry the burden of hurt?
with shoulders not strong enough.
How do you comfort a child of yours?
when words are not enough.
It's hard to mend a broken heart
when it doesn't belong to you.

Love this poem. It's every parent worse fear to be helpless when their child needs help. When you can not take away their pain.
and when you find out the answers to all of THOSE questions, ...............how do YOU mend a broken heart when it DOES belong to you? ? my favorite lines (from you) : How do you carry the burden of hurt? with shoulders not strong enough. very nice. and you have children? this is about you and yours? well, probably about MANY families....... i have a feeling you would do/do pretty well as a parent. bri :)
