How I Feel This Night Poem by Jorge Arturo Valles Anguiano

This night,
what I wanted was something innocent,
I wanted to kiss your cheek,
to know how I would feel,
you didn't let me kiss you.

I wasn't thinking of the consequences,
I was thinking about my feelings,
it's my fault,
that was my worst mistake,
I never knew that if I tried
you would of had left me,
I thought that we were feeling the same,
I love you with all my heart,
and I thought that you too,
but I was wrong,
you loved me
but not with all your heart,
then I sent you a message,
I was apologizing to you,
and you told me to give you time,
and then you told me you will leave me,
and that we should be friends...,
but...,
I don't want to be your friend...,
I want to be your boyfriend,
I wanted my life with you,
I apologized more and more...,
and then I told you why I did that,
and you didn't say anything,
you can't blame me...,
I wanted your love...,
I did everything for you,
and my reward was your leaving...

And now I want to ask you,
'Have you
ever done everything for someone?
and then that person never rewards you?
not even with kindness or love?
And after all the efforts...
that person leaves you?
That's is how I feel'
