How Is Your Righteousness? Poem by Michael P. Johnson

How Is Your Righteousness?

Will ninety percent burn in hell?
Though Christ would save each one
None the less, most folks will rebel
Always to burn alone

How is your righteousness today?
What does your family see?
What does your face, the world, tell, say?
Will God! The Father agree?

Are you sincere, do you pretend?
Does Heaven hear you pray?
Which sort of signals, do you send?
At work, at church, at play?

Is genuine, Jesus your choice?
Is Truth you language now?
Will church and angels rejoice
When at Gods throne you bow?

Christ Jesus said, no one is good
But God, enthroned on high
Not one soul, has lived, as they should
Enabling, not to die

Do we not to ourselves! tell lies?
Thinking no one could hear?
From birth, through life, till one dies
Supposing nought, was to fear

Though Christian, born-again, or not
Though changing how we live
Neither sin, nor lie is forgot
Unless Jesus we give

Again! how is your righteousness?
Can truthful, you raise your hand?
Or something indeed will confess?
Before God's face! you stand.....
