Hi, What's up your sleeve?
Is it 10000 leaves?
Hi, What's under your foot?
Can it be 1000 roots?
Hi, what can help with those scratches?
Can it possibly be a hundred branches?
You see my tree stands strong and proudly still
Staring at it, time and time helps to heal at will
And I sometimes wonder
How many ‘sorrys' do you want?
How many ‘sorrys' do you need?
How many ‘sorrys' would you like?
How many ‘sorrys' should I write?
How many ‘sorrys' can you catch?
How many ‘sorrys' can you watch?
How many ‘sorrys' can you touch?
When I spread my wings like a tree
I beg of you to compromise with me
You can press the button called pause
But even deep inside your unconscious
There is a stronger and deeper force
Begging us to be free inside all of us
How many ‘thank-yous' do want?
How many ‘thank-yous' do you need?
How many ‘thank-yous' would you like?
How many ‘thank-yous' should I write?
How many ‘thank-yous' can you catch?
How many ‘thank-yous' can you watch?
I can catch in one hand all your human flaws
While you latch onto my perfect unbroken laws
I can walk through any open doors
But you will forever be needing more
How much love do you want?
How much of my love do you need?
What part of my love should I put on dial speed?
How much of my love do you want to feel?
Which part of my love do you wish to steal?
How much of love do you need to heal?
And bear with me this life is tough
For you will how many ever be enough?
