How To Forget Poem by Annabel Cruz

How To Forget

Rating: 5.0

I want to dig my nails
Into the sky
And tear a hole in it.
I want to stick my head
Through the atmosphere
And suck up all the stars,
Like a galactic anteater.
I want to dream
That I’m awake
The world a marble
In my pocket.
I want to climb Mt. Everest
And when I reach the top,
I want to see Jersey.
I want to die backwards
And when I’m buried
I want to be a baby
In my mother’s womb.
I want to sit on God’s lap
And when he smiles
I’ll take his picture.
I want to feel each and every atom
In my body gyrate
And know
It’s not for you.
