Hug Me Please Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Hug Me Please

Hug me please

Oh mother,
Mother Earth
I feel cold as is dead
Open arms and hug me
In your arms engulf me.

I recall the author
Named Iris; Chinese of USA
She wrote book after rape of Nanking;
Invaders and girls' feet
Cruelty, cruelty, cruelty!

She, like me, finally
Felt too cold and approached
The arms of Mother Earth
As last hope
You could not reject her
So do not reject me.

Now please do the same
Open arms accept me
Inside you do keep me next to her.

I'm tired
I'm tired
I'm tired

These people make me ill
These liars bully, cheat, and steal
I tried many jobs
I have been shop to shop
I have seen low and up
Wherever a man lives
Disregard race, gender
I smell the same shit
I'm tired
I'm tired
I'm tired
No, no, no; I am not one of them,
"Their fortune comes from killing
My Mother Earth…my best love! "
