Hurdles Poem by Gautam Sen

Hurdles

Turbulence is the desert of life,
worries scratch itches all over our mind
yet facing it is a rule of the game,
if one wants to reach the destination.
Roads meandering underneath
our pacing feet cause threats;
to trot on those, some potholes
appear to give us the jerks of life
what we call our struggle or strife.

I wish I could meet the Almighty
who created this world
and worldly creatures;
I would prefer to pray
for courage to face
being gifted to all of us by Him
before sending us
on this eternal journey on earth.
We search for the strength while in a fix
but its source lies well within our heart
and we ought to know about this
inner treasure – the combating power.

I know that I'm only a humble creature
of this vast nature, we all are
given the same path to travel,
but the seasonal climate of our fate
happens to be different from time to time.
When it's all sunny and shiny,
we love to believe life as soft as petal
but when it's not, it's dark,
as dark as a never ending tunnel.

My friend for certain has got that courage,
hard time is not yours- it dares not to face
the inherent vibes of your inner strength.
I wish you a quick victory over your hurdles.
