Hurtful Suspicion Poem by ERNEST CLARY

Hurtful Suspicion

My friends feelings in such division
her mind filled with much hurtful suspicion
ripping at her inner core
she has proof of nothing
tis suspicion and nothing more
she ponders each day in her mind
looking for a way to find
wanting to know for sure
if these thoughts are true
or just suspicion and nothing more
maybe he's flirtin
evidence uncertain
things are changing
different than before
would he do it
or is this suspicion and nothing more
her thoughts aloof
she has no proof
hurting inside
her love has died
wanting to know the score
tis it real
or just suspicion and nothing more
the turmoil she's going through
bought a tape recorder too
with the intent to spy
hoping to defy
the odds once more
his acts she does deplore
wondering whats in store
tis it just suspicion and nothing more
time will tell
her heart is tore
hope all ends well
and tis just suspicion
and nothing more
