I Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

I

I do live
You know
I’ve a story
To tell
I’m not idealism
That could be
Defeated
By optimism
I’m a reality
Believe or not
You can’t be I
As I can’t be you.

I live
The way I
But, you with
No occasion
To judge
The past, present
And future
Belong to me
Needless
You waste time
Believe or not
You can’t be I
As I can’t be you.

I’m not so soft
For you cut it
I’m not dead
With white
You cover it
I’m not a script
You read
And throw it
I’m not a poem
You enjoy
And forget it
I’m alive
A living being
Believe or not
You can’t be I
As I can’t be you.

See here!
I’m not a beggar
Rather, a donor
Donor of love
That you can be
Though-
Some receive it
Others may deny
As do I
Believe or not
You can’t be I
As I can’t be you.

Don’t you see?
A pretty face
To be nothing
With ugly heart
But-
I’m original
I’m handsome
As wonderful
As you
Believe or not
You can’t be I
As I can’t be you.
