I Am Apologizing To You With Every Breath I Exhale Poem by Daya Nandan

I Am Apologizing To You With Every Breath I Exhale

Through the night darkness may creep,
As i am thinking of thee, oh why cant i sleep,
Like a torch to my mind through the night it ignites,
A moment of poetry this vagabond writes,

I know well i have mistakes that hurt thee as such,
I know well that thy emotions mean to me so very much,
Yes, i am a fool, much life and youth yet a careless tongue,
With words of passion and foolishness to thee hath stung,

Feelings hurt, thy heart beats with pain,
A beautiful sunshine changing into a heavy rain,
Yes, an idiot i am with words sometimes like knives,
Flying without intention, yet harming many hearts and lives,

I am sorry for all the times thou hath cried,
Sorry for some of the tears that had never dried,
Sorry for all the times that i was not there,
Sorry for the times i caused you despair,

i could send thee enough roses to fill up a lorry,
Though it wouldn’t be enough to tell thee that i am sorry,
i truly didn’t mean to hurt and make thee sad,
i truly didn’t mean to disappoint and make thou mad,

There are moments so sweet and as sour as lime,
Moments of great treasure all captured in time,
I am more sorry at every angle and at ever scale,
I am apologizing to you with every breath i exhale,

I seek forgiveness for all the mistakes i have done,
I just want you to know that to me you are my sun,
You brighten up my youth every single day,
Leaving me so joyful with nothing to say,

If i make a mistake please don't hate or push me away,
I will be hurt so badly feeling bad all day,
Deep down in me, I just want you to know,
For all the tears i am more sorry than i can show,

In my eyes no matter how many times of sorry i say,
You are the one person that can make or break my day,
I hope the day we can meet will one day arrive,
So i can tell you that you are the most awesome person alive!

You have brought out the apology very poignantly. Straight from the heart. Well written.
