I Am Getting Married Today Poem by Jeri Martindale

I Am Getting Married Today

Rating: 5.0

The sun begins speaking luring me, softly whispering; I am now awake.
I'm getting married today.

I stare at you in the bed beside me, silently you lay, so innocent when you're sleeping I can't look away.
I'm getting married today.

Wondering what you were dreaming, knowing your secrets. As the suns rays reach out to you, she gets what she wants, your blue eyes now awake.
I'm getting married today.

I want to know your thoughts, your inner being, I want to know your everything. I want to be your everything over and over again, destiny is ours to make.
I want to marry you today.

One glance from your blue eyes and suddenly I am lost in the ocean, the waves taking me, I am fighting the current; your smile so warm it calls me back, safe.
I'm getting married today.

I soon will vow to be yours forever, all eternity. You my love will stand next to me with our rings, our bands in hand, our life to make, this special day.
I am excited, today is my wedding day.

You are the very breath that I take, my heart, my light; my guardian now. I knew when I first saw you that you were my soulmate.
I'm a married woman today.

I married you today, no turning back now our life to make, I love you! You my husband, me your wife walking hand in hand I will love you forever and always.
I became Mrs Martindale today.
