I Am Love Poem by Ryan Lee Morris

I Am Love

Thoughts and actions of the highest regard.
Another before self.
Sacrifice all I am, and all I have,
When you call me to the battle.
I will stand up to the call.
Dying to my ways, in everyway.
A thousand deaths,
Each full of pain and suffering.
Disconnecting from the material,
Disconnecting from the ego,
To connect to the raw energy,
That was responsible for the creation of all.
Becoming all that is pure, lovely and beautiful.
Not for myself, but for another.
To show the façade we believe,
Is simply just that.
As the princess sleeps in her tower,
The prince arrives.
Though he is already a King,
A leader of men.
As her eyes open,
She will awake to the love she always sought.
It was always there,
It was just never called to the battlefield.
