I apologize
Have you ever known me
to lie to you?
Have you ever known me
to let you down?
I've always tried to tell you
what I thought was true.
Though I may have failed you
I never meant to make you frown.
It has always been my intent
to make you smile,
Not to know you by your cries.
I may have failed
in times of trial,
but the only resolve for us
I can think of is to apologize.
