I always depend
On no one else but me
That way you see
Disappointment will never be

I know people mean well
I know their intentions are good
But, too many never follow through
Like they said they would

I know they try their best
To lend a helping hand
But once again all alone
Is how you will usually stand

But I also know
That when something must be done
The person I can depend on
Well, I happen to be the one
