I Come To You Poem by Piccola Topo Gigio

I Come To You

I come to you broken,
I come to you chafed,
Incomplete maybe,
Half finished,
Half made.

I come to you healed,
I come to you mended,
A different mold,
Not bent,
Not cold.

I have a past,
And so do you.
Don't judge me for that,
For I've come to you.

Forget my history,
Forget my melancholy,
For I have come here,
For you, for me,
As it was meant to be.

Forget from where we arose,
Forget all that's marked us,
Forfeit all but few,
You, more than me,
I, more than you.

I have a past,
And so do you.
Don't judge me for that,
For I've come to you.

Not broken, but renewed.
Then take me,
Because there was never another moment,
Like this dawn,
Or this sweet morning, due.
