I Could Not Stop At Just One Kiss Poem by Theresa Dould Cummings

I Could Not Stop At Just One Kiss

I Could Not Stop At Just One Kiss

I could not stop at just one kiss,
salty as the finest potato chip.
As sweet as chocolate
and richer still,
the gooey-soft center that melts
till you are ill. Or perhaps the middle
is packed with a cherry?
And there's always crisp toffee
to savor with coffee.
Rich and deluxe with a thick creamy drizzle,
A most perfect diet of savory and sweet.
Always a sight to see my feet sizzle.
Is too much too much? Or is it enough
to keep our hearts beating and
loving till dawn. One can never get
too much of this, that and more,
From a man who has 'it'
and a little bit more!
