I Do Poem by Laura Carie Dalton

I Do

“Till death do us part, I do”
“You may now kiss your bride”

Those words I can’t wait to hear
I want to hear them soon

You and me
At the alter

Exchanging vows
Saying I do

Placing our lips together
To seal the deal

Slipping my hand in yours
Holding it tight

We walk down the isle

Hand in hand
Never letting go

We have our first dance
With our parents watching

W cut the cake
And I shove it in your mouth

Then we leave
Hand in hand

We run through the cloud of rice
And get into your truck

We take off on our honeymoon
In the Smokies

We find a little place in Oklahoma
And there we stay
