I Don't Fear Goodbye Anymore Poem by Ludolf Dauphin

I Don't Fear Goodbye Anymore

How long has it been
Since I last saw you
When I looked into your eyes
I Knew that it was goodbye
From emotion, you could not hide.
You tried so hard to hide it
But I knew you too well to stay in denial
Even as goodbye became too much to bear
Your smile held me captive until that moment
Watching your smile fades
There wouldn't be any rainbow in the sky

So go, go, go I don't fear goodbye anymore
Au revoir!
Adios!
Arrivederci!
Love doesn't intimidate me anymore.

You see, darkness travels all night
The moonlight always by its side
Sooner or later it has to say goodbye
With a new hope of tomorrow.
Love has weakened even the strongest of heart
Tears, falling like drops of rain with nothing to gain

So go, go, go I don't fear goodbye anymore
Au revoir!
Adios!
Arrivederci!
Love doesn't intimidate me anymore.

Inherited many holes in my heart since
Holes that won't fully heal
holes that once filled with dreams
Now memories of distance past linger
But looking forward to a new hope
Even as I look for solace where there is none

So go, go, go I don't fear goodbye anymore.
love doesn't intimidate me anymore
