And it comes to me
It's not in the doing
But in the dreaming
We achieve the things
That we need to achieve
And all of the doing

Incessant doing of the daily round
Is but the necessary detritus between

While awaiting the next
Meaningful occasion


And if we try to make
Of every day
A meaningful occasion

We come up against the law that dictates
Meaningful occasions only EVER occur
In the intervals between

And any attempt to make it
The rule of your life is as futile
As attempting to achieve
An indefinite orgasm
