I Don'T Need You! Poem by Mariana Eftimie Kabbout

I Don'T Need You!

I’ve met the love someday before
After a long and awful grace...
I’ve said to it: hey, hurry you,
We have to talk now, face to face!

Just come and sit now on my knees...
Tell me the truth, where have you been?
How could you roam all the time
So far of my undying dream?

Rounding the earth from east to west
I swam in nud, fire and ice,
Looking for your incredible charm
But I’ve only lost...once...twice...

It’s your turn to talk right now
And let me see what you will say...
Oh, no! Are you so daring fellow
To tell me that I must to pay? ?

What shall I pay, days from my life?
Diamonds or gold? ... I’ve not fortune!
If that’s the reason for you to avoid me
Get out of my heart, ungreatful! Soon!

Maybe you won now, selfish you,
But I’ll continue my way!
With all the faces what you have,
I really don’t need you to stay!
