I was never a child, forced to walk a mile in adult shoes
Found out ain’t no true gospel, just true blues
Had the right to discover the innate lover of my soul
Forced to be humble instead of bold
Deprives of the privilege of knowing my inner zeal
Role-model worship replaced self-appeal
Institutions can not maintain me
I Godda a due-right to be angry
The bible says thou shalt not steal
Ya stole my sacred psyche, said it wasn’t real
Don’t be sentimental-the heart is steel
Deny yourself, deny yourself is the seventh seal
Inducted into the religion Hall of Fame
Families are religious, had the same aim
Drain my energy make me tame
Emulate-assimulate then cloning came
Institutions can not maintain me
I Godda a due-right to be angry
Wanting to be was dying inside
Ya had to be a team player, individuals died
Considered void of social skill
Being unique, being unique was over kill
When the process is more important than the person
Life and learning becomes a military drill
Excavating the emeralds and diamonds of your subconscious mind
Highly educated zombies perfecting old times
Making sure new thinking converts to old minds
Institutions can not maintain me
I Godda due-right to be angry
How I express said anger is up to me
I’m primitive-primordial-proud, I maintain me
But, I still have a due-right to be angry
