Not the type to wait around
for someone to validate my existence
not the type that when i'm down
I'll ask for your assistance
I'd rather not follow the crowd
that's why I walk alone
to find myself go a little further
you see, I don't need you.
feeling love for you is a necessity
whenever you start slacking
I'm content being without you
being single describes a person who
is strong enough to live and enjoy life
without depending on another

it's difficult to break down
someone of substance
I learned from my own mistakes
Gained strength from personal struggles
overcame all of the obstacles
courageously

I worked hard for the money
just to pay all of my bills
and when you've seen me
know that i'm my own team
i'm not looking to be kept
I make the cuts
so, i'll do the keeping
