I Have Been On This Highway Poem by Max D. Hornbogen

I have been on this highway, for way to long. Want somewhere to be, maybe even see the stars once and a while.

You know that I have been everywhere. Even seen the people that I loved.
Their love will always carry on through me. So I see, these stars have found me again.

But when I felt alone, I had you to look up to. The way you looked at me was deeply pressed to my heart.

That sensation, felt so emotional. I barely could stand anymore. So I went to my knees and started crying for you.

Now I see your smile in the sky above me, that also gives me a warm feeling inside.

So I take a deep breath and even tried to recollect my thoughts. But I gathered everything that I had. Then I took it and packed it in my car. Now I just started to drive again on this road that is so long.
