I Have Pain Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

I Have Pain

Rating: 5.0

I have pain

I don't care;
He is my enemy but wounded, bleeding
Regardless of my side; he's leader, is leading
I ignore where, why, how
Past is light; I recall
I have seen and observed
I have heard and witnessed
Men fighting a final
'Win or die'
One can see the fear of pride
'Shoot me if...'
'Don't let them have me alive...'
'It is shame for the clan...'
Fragments, scattered
(Dandelions in the wind)
I smile when it sits on mustache, on the lip
I see them walking tall; melted in modesty
'Shoot me please and kill me.'
But the word can't explain:
'Loss of game is a shame.'
'Winning it is our fame.'
Best is when deep in heart
Carved careful and with love
Whatever the word's called...
(Words are poor; they are weak.)
(Words don't feel; can't reveal.)

News says: 'He's wounded.'
I'm thinking other way:
'What if caught like Saddam? '
Then I see on the screen.
Saddam's fall
Saddam's hung
Saddam's head is apart
Saddam's head and Hussein's
Siavash and St. John's
I feel pain in my heart.
