I Have Waited Poem by MATSEPE MOLEFI

I Have Waited

I HAVE WAITED

I have waited,
For this moment,
For this minute,
For this second,
Just to say I do.

I have waited,
With broken a heart,
Healing with time,
With a stabbed heart,
Stabbed with lies.
Cheated within its veins.

Yet I never lost hope,
All those nightmares changed into dreams.
All that pain brought a blessing.
A great blessing without a cursing.
I have waited for you.
Just to say I do.

I have waited, waited and waited,
Until myself pride died,
Until my expectations vanished,
Until this moment I say do.

I have waited and waited,
To finally say am yours
Am all yours forever,
Am all you desire.
Am all your heaven on earth.
I have waited, waited and waited.

My days were shallow.
My nights were slow,
My skin would glow,
My love will grow,
Yet that didn't stop me from waiting,
Cause I have waited....
