I Hurt Poem by Carike Klokow

I Hurt

Surrendering, Compassion, my hand fitting in yours
Enthusiasm, Trust, the beginning of our lives
feeling all i can feel
being everything that s true and real

With you in my life, in my heart
making our love a reality from the start
Giveing this love some distance,
just for a while were different
When you came back it didn't feel right
my tears the only closeness that wraps me tight

It hurts so much to think of you not being a part of my life
but i just cant see where i fit in
making time for everything
drawing a line through my name
not even feeling ashamed
that you've just banned me out your life once again

Live with it, deal with it, swallow your tears
its been 3 years
Getting more painful as the months roll by
i long for your heart, im getting rejected with another sigh
Planning evenings, planning days
you never come, im miming plays

Working out my strategy, how to keep you happy
with tears falling down my cheeks like autumn leaves do
I punish myself for not saying anything to you
how i feel, how i felt, but you've got all my poems
every thought that ive cloned
why do you ignore me so?
why? ? i wanna know

I've even thought of finding new love
trying on a new glove
But nothing can fulfill me like your touch
this 'friendship' of ours is getting to much.

I am a women, i am a wife - begging to let me into your life
Not your child, not your slave - promise you wont misbehave
Not your pet, not your friend - my childhood years well spent! ! !
Not your mother, not your maid - thanks for the 'love'...
well PLAYED! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

I can identify we pretty much all of what you're saying here! I love the verse about the trying of a new glove, it's a metaphor I've used too. You convey beautifully your emotions. Keep it up! !
