I Knew Poem by Trevor Lansink

I knew it would happen,
you would find me someday.
I wouldn't have to look,
through every which way.

I knew not to force,
or not even to try.
Because I was myself,
and you fell from the sky.

I knew you were special,
for you being you.
And the moment it happened,
I knew it was true.

Your soft, calming voice,
is as gracful as snow.
But when I look to your eyes,
you look to mine and glow.

It may be just luck,
that we met on that day.
But for whatever reason,
I'm yours forever...That's how it shall stay.
