Treasure Island

Bradley Lester

(18-07-1966 / Western Cape, Cape Town)

I knew she had her eye on me

I knew she had her eye on me
The day we finally met
I saw the glistening sparkle
The best to come was yet
Her laughter filled my soul
Her smile was radiant bright
We laughed and had much fun
I kinda felt so right
It felt like I had known her
A long time though it may
But this was not so true
I wished that I could stay
I knew she had her eye on me
The day we laughed had fun
I knew inside that somehow
Our fun had just begun

poet Robert Frost

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
