I Know You Love Me Poem by Tebogo Tshegofatso

I Know You Love Me

I know you love me, therefore let's be,
It's evident, in how your lips extend,
And the way your eyebrows bend,
The unfading look of desire in your eyes,
Say fetters of passionate love will suffice,
It's undeniable, you hate me for this,
But love catches whosoever it wills,
Your hands go frail when I touch you,
Like a sunbaked pimpernel you do,
The carved holes on your cheeks grow,
And forge a princess' facial glow,
As your teeth break free, a worthy smile,
You steal a peek, from within a mile,
As I talk to you about today's sunrise,
It's undeniable, all loves are in this wise,
If this is not love, then nothing is,
Dear friend, do not hate me for this,
Love catches whomever it pleases,
And as for you, I know you love me,
And if love wills, we might as well be.
