I Love You Poem by Moth Harris

I Love You

When I see you my heart tends to shine,
but lately your hand hasn't been in mine.
You say those three words and maybe it's true.

For now we feel empty and the sky seems rather gray
You've been debating whether I should go or if I should stay
You say those three words but that's not what I'm looking for.

I've been trying as you've been watching with a blind eye.
You've said those three words but I only want to know why
You say those three words to me.

I want to know that tomorrow when blue skies are here
That we can sit together and that I'll be holding you near
and we can tell each other why 'I love you'
