I Love Your Love. Poem by David Boyd

I Love Your Love.

A slumber into perfection, a distant field of vacancy.
Nothingness sits at the beginning and appears at the end.
The shadows have poisoned me, they've infested my mind.
For years I've wondered....
How many moments can I take away....
I've encrypted my blood, so it does not lie.
The truth will soon unfold.
Staring toward the blank horizon, my thoughts spread like hordes of bees.
The black begins to fill the blank....
Within moments there's flowers, life, and reality.
With a puzzled expression, I look around dumbfoundedly.
In a magical stupor, I reach for your hand.
Your love has filled my void....
