I'm Afraid Of What I Feel Poem by Jeremy Willson

I'm Afraid Of What I Feel

I've hidden my deepest feelings so far down
Somewhere in the dark where I can no longer find them
Like an anchor dragging me to a trench
Where monsters starving for attention rejoice
I need something, something to cover the truth
If I can't stop them from eating away at the pieces of me
That make me who I am...
Then what's left will be a gash in the sea
And a monster full on fear
