I’m Dying Poem by Michael P. Johnson

I’m Dying

I’m dying in the here and now
To self and worldly care
My soul to Christ I here endow
Eternal life to share

Eternal love eternal bliss
Drinking from Heaven’s streams
I know I’ll suffer no remiss
Beyond the realm of dreams

Beyond this life and Heaven’s door
Beyond the great divide
Such blessing no one’s known before
Awaits for me inside

Soaring upon the winds of love
Beyond where eagles fly
Leaving behind the clouds above
I’ll join my Groom on high

No more of mortal flesh and bone
In robes of purest white
He’ll take my hand into His own
And enter Heaven’s Light

For this I’m truly dying now
For this I’ve set my mind
I’m holding fast salvation’s plough
And leaving all behind

Regardless what I sacrifice
However much the pain
It matters not how high the price
I won’t turn back again

By Heaven’s grace my way is clear
The Truth I’ve heard first hand
So now I’m dying whilst down hear
To live on high as planned
