I'M Dying Poem by Aylissa Ramirez

I'M Dying

Rating: 5.0

Laying on the sidewalk,
I can feel my heart beating against the cement.
I can feel the ant crawling on my arms,
it would be useless to brush them off.
“Devour me whole right now you ants”,
I scream to the world!
My legs and arms are turning red from the sun,
the strength I have left can not protect myself from the rays.
I figure I will die soon here on the sidewalk,
right in front of my house.
This was until I hear my mom yell
“William pick your bike up you’re fine”

Great unexpected poem. I loved the way you broke the tory at the end. I't so deep and dramatic then it's funny and usual.
