I'M Not Going To Sit Here Poem by Hillary Unknown

I'M Not Going To Sit Here

I’m not going to sit here
And go your way
Find someone else
To play
My part in this charade
You act like you care
But it’s all a show
You want someone to tear
You want them to know
How it feels to be different
How you hurt like everyone else
How you’re not under some tent
Protecting you from the world
From yourself
You’re just a girl
There’s another way
So let’s stop this
And start to play
To our own beat
Our own sound
Forgetting about
Everyone else around
Focus on you
And your tune
And you’ll find it
Soon
