I'M Sorry To Do This Poem by Emily Straka

I'M Sorry To Do This

Rating: 5.0

A choice to make,
a heart to break.
A lie to tell.
A dream that fell
apart for me.
Now everyone can see
how broken I get.
My heart was lit
with the fire of the Sun
the day I came undone.
And in the air
there was love to beware.
When my heart died
they all knew I'd lied.
I could no longer hide
when truth wasn't on my side.
But how could I know,
when no one would let me grow
to be who I can.
I swear it wasn't part of my plan
to cut you with this knife.
I know this is your life,
and it might be hard to believe,
but it's my life too.
