I own a time bomb
One embedded in me
A deadly time bomb
Which conceals the real me
A bomb when blown up
Brought only disaster
And kept me away
From those I love very much
I own a time bomb
Yet, I’m not its master
‘Coz it never listened to me
And shall never listen again
A bomb that rejuvenates
Even after use
A fatal bomb
That brought fire in my eyes
I own a time bomb
As do you and everyone else
It has never let me express
What I feel and what I think
A bomb which stunted my mind
And led me into blindness
It has never let me understand
What others around me are
I own a time bomb
One I’m ashamed of
It brought me only disaster
It kept me heedless
From beauty and joy
I own it yet I’m not its master
And those who’ve controlled theirs
Have conquered the world.
