I Rest In Silence Poem by Ravi Kopra

I Rest In Silence

Misuse of anything of use -
twitter, tv, cell phones -
turns us into slack-jawed
empty-eyed, pasy-faced zombies.

We lose our silence, the inner
peace of mind, our well being.

A rest from rage is therapeutic.

Silence strips away
layers of self-deception.
It makes us recoginse
ourselves away from shallowness.

Entertainment - a numbing agent -
Takes us away from reality.

Some suffer in silence.
I rest in it.
