I Saw A Kingdom When I Died



I saw a kingdom
When I died...
Golden gates, pearls
And rubies all over
Chambered doors.

Surely, this must be heaven.
Surely, this must be it,
The throne of the Living God.

Who am I but a shadow
Of my sinful self?

I don't deserve this.
I don't.

Let me just quiver
To my own dead self;
Out of breath,
Out of sighs.
