I Saw Him Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

I Saw Him

Rating: 5.0

I saw him.

He was bird in a cage
had no wing, no feather
what was called Bob or Bill?
William or Peter?

Regardless of the name
ignore it; all are same,
whatever, no matter.

He sat tied to wheelchair
bald and weak, no power.

I recalled the first day
he shouted, I, scared
baby-goat seeing bear.

Hey man of wealth power
look around, yes you, you
the Mr. well-dressed,
Mr. sharp.

I tell you of my heart:
"With you I empathize."

No, no, no, don't insist
I will not mention name.

You have put across the scene rather beautifully. Very poignant portrayal. Thanks. He sat tied to wheelchair bald and weak, no power. With you I empathize.
