I Saw The Light Poem by Ray Hansell

I opened my eyes
I saw the light
I now know
Things will be alright

It took a while for me to see
That things will usually work out
With opened eyes and open mind
I have erased any and all doubt

It wasn't easy for me to do
But I did keep my faith
Now I know for a place in heaven
I will not have to wait

I saw the light but I must say
At times it was quite dim
But I kept my faith and still believed
I would make it because of Him
