To my Son,
From the first I knew you were on the way,
I was excited and anxious to see what you’d become
I brought you home and watched you grow
And you personality develop
You began to crawl
And before long you were going to school
You have always been one to things your way
An independent thinker for sure
You fought against the rules and norm
What you did could only be your own idea
We made it through elementary with minor bruises
Then came middle, and high school – oh boy
There were day I wanted to hug you till you popped
There were days that I could have popped your head right off
I cried, yelled, threatened and worried on a daily basis
as I watched you choose paths would lead to hurt and ruin
Now you’re 18 and about to graduate
I am as proud as any mother could be
I am still just excited and anxious
To see what you will become
I SEE A MAN THAT OTHERS MIGHT NOT SEE
I see a good man, a strong man
A man with his heart right and his head on straight
I see a proud man
Who works for everything and earns his way in this world
I see the independent thinker
Becoming the productive man I always prayed you’d be
I always worry a little…. that is what a mom’s do
But I know my baby boy is going to be just fine, and make me proud

I like it, ..you are good parent to your son! it is how you observe his growth, .how he became matured, ..I remember something all that were made were done with purposes and I think that he has his best foundation, , he exhausted from being like that, .so he became like this, . from bad to good, ..nice poem, .I love it, . a story of a proud mum...
