I revel in the sweet sound
of her silent aspirations
taken aback, pulled into the undertow
of everything
past the setting sun
or smiling moon
when I think of the poetry
I have come to love
when I think of how
how people pull me in
so I see
I think of you
the music may always play
a slight diversion
to simplistic beauty
that a girl,
in love with words
...taught me to see
