I Thought Poem by Lagario Johnson

The thoughts in my mind are racing
While my spirit and your spirit are chasing
My friends told me you were not right for me
I told them yes you are, and then they said I will see

You always show me a good time
But my friends’ words are still in my mind
My heart is confused
You said if I listen to my friends I’m a fool

You kiss me on my forehead
You told me to think about what I am doing tonight in bed
I told my friend what you did they said so
I thought about it and I let you go

My friends were laughing at me
I was confused, why would they do that to me
When I saw them my heart just dropped
Then I remembered it was just a bad thought
