I Will Donate My Organs Poem by Daya Nandan

I will make a difference, my organs i will donate,
I plan to donate my organs before it is too late,
I want to give my eyes to a blind child who cannot read,
So he can live normally and one day help others in need,

I want my heart to go to a dying father fighting for his life,
So he can spend many more years with his children and wife,
I want my lungs to go to the needy mother gasping for air,
So she can have many more years of her life to spare,

My tendons and ligaments will give motion to those that can barely move,
So that their quality of life can drastically improve,
I want my liver and kidneys to save the lives of strangers in need,
So they can have a second chance to live life and succeed,

I want to save lives even after my career as a doctor is long gone,
I want to give people a second chance to witness the light of dawn,
i want to give the needy my gifts of great worth,
Before my body of flesh and bone becomes one with the earth!
