But she doesn't
See me
I can hear her
But she doesn't
Hear me
I can touch her
But she won't
Touch me
I can desire her
But she doesn't
Desire me
But if she can't
See, hear, touch
Or desire me
How can she
Ever love me?
POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this poem when I was a teenager. I had a school crush on this girl, but I was too shy to approach her. I was invisible to her. I wanted her to notice me but she never did. I never talked to her but I still remember this feeling I had of really desiring her.
